Improve your skating skills in these fun and challenging clinic classes focusing on edges, power, and speed! Clinics are open to all skaters and are leveled by highest MIFs test passed. Sessions will be limited to 18 skaters, so sign up early to guarantee your space.
Clinic 1 will be coached by Taylor Walker and Kim Navaro. It will focus on generating power, stroking technique, extension, and turns. Kim will also coach Clinic 2 which will focus on extension, proper body position and alignment, and generating power through turn and edge quality. Clinic 3 will focus on advanced turns with continuous flow, and maintaining power and control while executing more advanced sequences and are coached by Taylor (on Saturday), and Kim and Brent (on Sunday).
Clinic Coaches
Taylor Walker
Taylor is from Southern California, where she developed her love for synchronized skating with the ICE ‘Kateers. She graduated from Miami University in 2013, having skated for their senior team all four years. In the 2016-17 season she skated for NEXXICE Senior team in Canada, helping the team earn a bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships. She has coached for Team Braemar and the ICE ‘Kateers and is now working as a consultant, helping teams across the US and internationally.
Kim Navarro
Kim is a Two-Time U.S. Bronze Medalist in Ice Dance and Two-Time World Team Member. As a professional skater she has performed with Holiday on Ice, Broadway on Ice, Sun Valley On Ice, The Ice Theatre of New York and in the 2014 Olympic Team Tour of Stars on Ice. She has appeared in an episode of the television show Glee and competed with the skating act “Aerial Ice” on America’s Got Talent.

Group C clinics will focus on advanced turns with continuous flow, and maintaining power and control while executing more advanced sequences. Also an introduction to partner exercises including death spirals will be taught. Exercises will be beneficial for skaters preparing to test Novice, Junior, and Senior moves in the field. |
